Nestled in the heart of the countryside, George & Dragon is a hidden gem that deserves recognition for its delightful dining experience. Upon arrival, I was greeted with a warm welcome from the friendly bar staff, instantly making me feel at home despite the rustic charm of the establishment. The bar offered a selection of real local ales from the likes of Black Sheep Brewery and Theakstons, providing the perfect accompaniment to my meal. For dinner, I indulged in a thoughtfully curated menu, each dish cooked to order. The evening meal showcased local ingredients, and I appreciated the fine presentations, even if the options were somewhat limited. The next morning brought a freshly cooked breakfast that was quite satisfying. The toast was a tad thin and lacked warmth, which was a slight disappointment. George & Dragon is a welcoming spot with good food and a cozy atmosphere.
